The Mini was losing a small amount of coolant but there was no evidence of a leak, so I checked under the carpets and there was a damp patch on the soundproofing, I have removed the heater matrix and found the cause of the leak, just priming the casing before re-painting it, the new Matrix has turned up so hopefully will be rebuilding it and refitting it in the next few days.

Also fitted a new cover to the frame of my folding car cover, so the Mini is well protected for any cold/wet weather.

The photos don’t actually show what really matters when porting.
So no risk of any knowledge transfer :-D

Replaced rear cones, Hi-los, struts, knuckles and cups.  A  little fussy but the threat of propane torch persuaded the cup to surrender.

Took off the inlet and LCB. Removed the wrap to find an expected crack in the welded joint. Will clean it up, re-weld, paint and NO wrap. :-)

Will clean up the alo MSC inlet and do a bit of Dremel cleanup on the ports.

Also got the rod gear steady bolt in now that the LCB is out of the way.

Not today...but yesterday.

Spent 30mins fitting a new CSI Dizzy. So easy to set up, a joy to do.

Just got to do a few test drives to see what Curve is best.

DickyB.

How's the dizzy dude, can you feel any difference between settings ? :-)

Finally after lots of perseverance, I managed to free up the seized rear brake adjuster on the drivers' side, get both sides adjusted up nicely and address the basically non-existent handbrake in my daily driven '91. Pedal feel is now much firmer and I won't have to rely solely on leaving the car in gear to prevent it rolling on the slightest incline!

I think it's lemon.
Built in 75 but first registered in 76. It was imported(exported) from Spain to Switzerland new for the dealer and baught by an employee of the British embassy apparently.
It was then willed to the guy I got it from when she died many years ago.
I'm currently looking for some space to put my minis away so I can have a good look at it, but it's sipprisingly good for its age and has never been resprayed, so no surprises there. 👍
