Exhaust on. 20 silentcoat mats stuck. Fuel pipework completed. Steering column in. Seat position confimed so need a subframe welding up.
Back to waiting on parts...

[JXC Mini GT]

Went to Beaulieu, it was a great turnout and on the 250 mile round trip the Mini performed really well and coped admirably with the beautiful sunny weather, it was good to see so many great Minis, MCR sold 2500 tickets and it was an excellent turnout.

Made some space for the radiator using a cut off wheel.

Wow Ben you have good eyesight, the car performed faultlessly on the 250 mile round trip on a very hot day and on the car park they call the M25.

Took rear quarters out to get rid of rust and found a big blob of filler in a hole. Welding patch in tomorrow.

Fitted a new dashboard.

I just cleaned the brakes and engine bay.

Tidied up/finished welding the floor, discovered the NS doorstep needed replaceing. Replaced the doorstep...

 

Made aluminium rally style dashpod to accept MG speedo and rev counter....

 

Taped wiring looms with cloth tape so it looks a lot nicer...

 

Cut holes in Lexan/Poly windows and fitted sliders.

 

Removed winding mechanism for windows.

 

Bought and fitted drilled and grooved front discs.

 

Fitted Mintex M1144 pads.

 

Swore at it a couple of times and gave it a little kick....

 

Back to it again next week end.
