Finally tackled the driver's door which had been removed some time since - drilled holes for a wiring loom (electric window and central locking plus lights - puddle light and door open warning light),  There's not much room in the door and the glass takes up most the space so the wire routing is fun!  One side now done and all wired up so now need to drill a hole in the A pillar for the wires and put the door back on - think I will follow the hingles and run a tube into the engine bay or footwell.  Then to start on the other side and to decide where to fit the relays and wiring etc.

Snap - I just bought a clear unit from eBay and used a Red LED bulb - same as the brakes.

Fitted soundproofing to the under bonnet.

I've found doing this makes the car a lot quieter,

In the quest to rid the GT of its annoying misfire fitted a new coil and took it for a blast round some country lanes. Pleased to report it's now running well

Picked it up from the garage after having a new passenger side floor panel welded in. I also had fitted new o/s + n/s driveshaft oil seals and a gearbox selector oil seal.

I thought it would only go in for a small patch up weld, lol!  :ghost:

I've been watching this topic for months, and never had anything to say because my poor wee mini was stuck in its carcoon, awaiting some spring TLC.

Well today I've been bombing about it in it, absolutely having a ball.  Main achievement of today was fixing the cigar lighter.  I'd been using a tyre inflator to pump up a soft tyre, and it had killed the cigar lighter.  Turns out it had melted the in-line fuse holder, which for some reason had a 35A fuse in it...  I've replaced the fuse holder, fitted a more suitable 20A fuse, and all is good again!

Checked the piece of paper underneath mini in my garage after work. Annoyingly, still weeping oil from gearbox! It had new oil seals when work was done last week with my mini guy, while in for welding, and will now need to go back. Maybe a bad batch of seals from the shelf, or they didn't put them on properly? Hummm.... All under warranty, though.

Replaced the petrol tank, due to rust inside it due to condensation.
