Same here, except I have a weber carb with no where to "aim" the oily fumes
whats wrong with piping them into the air filter
I physically can't - i have soak filters over the trumpets!

If you don't have suction on the crankcase - you WILL have oil leaks and eventually a slipping clutch. Piping in the air cleaner will just plaster it with messy oil! I can only suggest a small hole is drilled in the weber inlet manifold *(I used 1/8" diameter) and the breather hose connected to that. These breather filters are a big waste of money!
I actually drilled and tapped the manifold for a servo take off - then filled the take-off with plastic metal, and then drilled a 1/8" hole through the filling.
*touches wood* as of yet I have no oil leaks as such - but it has only done about 1000 miles in a year!
So it looks like i will need 2 pairs of vac pipes put in the manifold as I don't want it to breathe through only one branch of the carb.
Any suggestions what to use to fit vac pipes into a steel manifold - could i simply have som lengths of copper brakeline silver soldered into it?

how do you plumb the breathers into the carb and also, why is it not already like this on our engines? ie : why are we arguing about how or why it should be done.
