Thanks for the update on the SP SPI tool and sorry to hijack the thread.
I bought an ACR2 used then upgraded to ACR4 when Sykes-Pickavant had an upgrade deal. The new tool seems a bit pricy for a part-time Mini mechanic, but alarms/immobiliser would be nice as I have some spare ECU/immobilisers.

Terry - rather than the SPI diag tool, you might be able to get the iKeys pod for your ACR4 cheaper from Sykes... they are a pretty helpful bunch and maybe able to do a 'Mini Only' version... give them a ring :)

I know the latest Ford pod they did had the immobiliser built into the pod - so need need to buy the iKeys application... they might be able to do something like that with one of your Rover pods...
