My mini has oversills on it at the moment (which I didn't notice when I bought it because I was a newbie :).. )

anyway I want to have the Inner and outer sills replaced and the door steps (I'm guessing the inners are a mess),

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of what this will cost? I know it wont be nice :)

Thanks,
Josh

someone at my work is going to do a complete floorpan, sills, rear heelboard and doorsteps on my mini, hes charging me 900 labour and materials, this price does not include panels. my guess is your looking at at least 1000 to have it done properly....
why not buy a welder, teach yourself how to weld and have a crack at it yourself...

Anyone got a spare can of worms? This ones just been opened?!!

Oversills are a nightmare to replace properly, sometimes its better to cut the lot out and start again.

It depends on the state of the heelboard/toeboard/floor pans etc.

Assuming that its "mostly" good, I'd charge around the £700 mark to it(not inc paint)

As a rough guide look to be spending £400+. This is a rough guide as oversills tend to hide nastiness. Get heritage outer sills much much better, i have just fitted a pair and they went on very nicely.

The inner sills have a habit of rotting up to the heelboard but the normal repair panel only goes as far as the companion box. Also the jacking point tends to rot out as well so this normally gets deleted anyway.

What i thought would take 6hrs took in excess of 20 hrs as we found a lot of other rot BUGGER!!

Just saw shiftys post (got there before me damn!!) can of worms is right i'm afraid. His figure i feel is a lot more realistic than mine (ever the optimist.)

my mini has oversills, which has caused the floor to rot, the previous ower just plated over the rust, so im having the floorpan replaced. have a look in the bins in the back, lift up he trim if fitted, theirs a section of the inner sill in there, both my minis have/had rust in there...

No I haven`t mate, I will have a read through when I get chance.

That is the worst bodgery I`ve ever seen shifty, fire extinguisher on hand when welding.
