if your aiming for 130 bhp then you shouldnt need to do half of that you can get 130 bhp from the metro turbo engine easy with a couple of mods still using the standard carb i think you need to take a look on turbo minis and have a search on the forum there are loads of useful posts and topics and some very knowledgable people on there too

If you are desperate to turbo a 7 Port :cheese: (I like it alot :w00t: ), you want to make a plenumn where you can then attatch the usuall HIF44 carb and your away. Use the Metro turbo exhaust manifold and your sorted  I honestly reckon it would look more tidy and simple than the usuall turbo intalation.

Deffinately neat is better have a look at olive ed's got one wire in the entire engine bay :w00t: :w00t: at the moment Its a 92 1.3spi so not many bits to change but i wanted to start from fresh. So i know whats happend to the engine mines had 6 previous owners and from whats happening now they aint looked after it. So im getting to fix it all. But i love it.

Are you plannin on using the standard bottom end then? Not sure whether itll take too nicely to 130bhp of turbo power. If I was you, Id just balance and tuftride the crank. Add a center Main strap and place some nice strong pistons between the bores. 1293 sounds good as you dont need huge cc with the turbo. I know its 100bhp on a standard Mety bottom end with the head alone.

Well i got a turbo head carb and plen and t3 turbo and maifold and a couple of other bits for £130 but there is a little give in the turbo so may recon it myself or get it swapped for a recon. Im going to get the crank treated ect and all the right bits for it to stand it all. It wouldnt make sence to spend all that money and not do it properly :w00t:

Ive got a brand new T2 if your interested. You would only need the carb, manifold and turbo. The standard plenum would be useless on the 7 Port.

Well thanks for the offer but im planning on sticking with the t3 ed's got a t2 lol we compared the two i think he's planning a quick start for his im going for a long turbo range. I was lookin at the supercharger before i came to turbo how difficult is it to do? i know its pricey for the kit.

Hehe Guess what Ive also got  :w00t: A brand new Eaton M45 blower. what ever you do with this 7 port, its gunna be bespoke. I dont reckon the T3 offers anything more over the T2 other than lag or the time it takes to spin up. The T2 is a hell of alot more drivable. I mean wots the point of spend £1500 on a head to bolt a turbo to it and not being able to use the power. When we are talking 130bhp+, you want it progressive and not in big lumps. I certanly wouldnt base your turbo next to a 5 Port turbo. Just remember your is gunna knock out more to begin with.

True should have a re think me thinks :w00t: we were thinking about the lag but having the 7 port ment with the carbs at the front we could raise the turbo and intercooler near the scoop and closer togther with less pipe work to get in the way.

Yeah this sounds all well and good but it doesnt spin the turbo up any faster.
