if the filler is not fully cured the phosphate acid in the acid etch gets under the body filler and can cause it to lift or react at a later time, thats why i say dont spray it over filler as it may not have cured, i also said it depends on luck, it may not react ever but can come back later and kick you in the teeth.
a mist coat does the job of adhering to the bare metal and adding more does not make it stick better so why waste money and time putting more on,
if you are using it as a etch and primer then yes cover it more before the paint coat, but if you are putting primer on top then a mist coat does the job, why spend more money using acid etch as a primer when normal primer/high build primer is cheaper.
