Im currently useing EBC green stuff pads, with cooper S 7.5 callipers / disks, and i really dont have any confidence in them to stop me.
Ive had them on the car for just about 700 miles now, and they dont feel like they are getting any better now.
Ive been looking at replacements and come up with 2.
Mintex 1144's

And Carbon metalics

Ive been told both work well, but am not quite sure which suits me best.
So who has used either, and how have you got on with them?
Anyone tried both?
Thanks
Chris

Not sure what happens when they cool down and I need to stop in a hurry on the motorway. Ho hum.
They were bang on from the word go Chris... Sounds like there is something going wrong there.
But then, I have 8.4's... AND brand 'new' calipers.

I drive for a few miles with the brakes lightly applied to warm them up, then several hard stops from 70-20. Then leave for a cooling off period. Once I've done this twice its pretty much ready to go.

How have you been running them in?

Ive tried all that, they are ok, when really hot, but anything less and it feels like there is nothing there.
The disks look fine, so i havent replaced them yet, they dont look like they need it.
Im 90% sure its the pads, and its less work to replace them first.
What i need is a pad that works well from cold, but doesnt fade when pushed hard.

I belive the problem is they don't like getting too hot, on the 7.5" setup there is not a great deal of surface area, and you can cook them and they never work the same again,
the 1144's will be much better, but its even possible to fade these
carbon metalics are supposed to be the nuts, but i'm yet to try them.
