All you lot complaing about brake fade. Get some Decent Brake fluid.
Its mostlikely the fulid geting to warm, therefor not working as effectivly.
The pads often work a differant tempreatures. But ive heard from lots of people EBC Green STUFF is poor and not what its made out to be. Personaly id stick with standerd pads from a decent manufacturer,Mintex,Unipart,Ect.......
If your still suffering Get some good Discs. The better discs will disopate heat better and work better in high breaking conditions.
There are many disks to choose from.
Grooved are the best in my opinyon as the groves help clear the disk of dust and water, they also aid cooling without weakening the disc to much.
As you are tecnicly removeing some of the brakeing surface you loose some braking capablity when the brakes are cold. But this is made up for once the brakes are in use and warm.
Drilled discs are not as good as groved as the holes can trap dust they also have a lot less of a contact patch. These hole also weaken the disc quite alot. Cheap drilled discs often suffer from fractures when they get warm. Altho they do disopate heat verry well.
Vented Disks are the way to go But these are hard to get on a mini without changing calipers and so on...
Id definatly go for some good Fluid , some decent standerd pads , and groved disks if i was still geting the problems.
Also if you want a decent pedal look into some braded flexi hoses. They do not buldge under presure like the standerd rubber flexi hoses.
bradid flexys may also help to create abetter pedal as the pipes
Thanks for that Joe, but you are wrong one one point, vented disc's are not the way to go on mini's, because the car is so light and has so little power they will never get hot enough to work properly. You will only need them if you have one serious engine under the bonnet.
