70 sounds good. Ive only ever seen one huge sized Rc mini and that was a Tamiya, 1/4 scale just 200 made.

When was this tamiya one released? I only know of tamiya 1/10th scale m series chassis and they had a 1/8th scale shell
on a 1/10th scale 4wd glow engine chassis.
Never seen a 1/4 scale tamiya mini that i can remember?

They were only released in germany. Ive got a buddy on IMMCC with two. I'l find some pictures.

Please do love to see one!

I have to say i think you would be asking for a lawsuit if you did this.

Go with huge arches and cover the wheels, make it look like a Chevon Monster Mini body.

I'm planning on making something similar for my Compagnucci petrol car.

Thanks for the votes and the input guys,

I'm a bit surprised at the results, i'd have thought there'd be more support for the clubby front.

Anyways, a few responses:

Pickup wouldn't really work - the engine would be in the rear bulkhead.

Riley Elf off roader....... suppose I could make a multipiece mould joined where the seams are on a mini......

Don't think a lawsuit is likely - maybe if I was doing contemporay Ferarris, otherwise, how did Minus, Domino etc get away with it, and they were full size!

Minus is the same shape as a Mini Sprint, not a Mini. Domino had a licence from Rover. FRA got threatened with a lawsuit I think, don't know the outcome. Tamiya have to have a licence. The outline of the Mini is very heavily protected intelectual property. BMW and BMH sue people and threaten to sue people all the time. One of our members used to make small Mini shaped soft toys, they threatened to sue her.

Hmmm, obviously they are as anally inclined as Ferarri then. Spose i'll just have to keep it quiet.
