i agree, nothing quite like the comp safari land rovers, and other custom built vehicles for it, the power and sound those produce is awe inspiring :-

my best mate used to have a 1996 honda civic coupe v-tech which when the v-tech kicked in you couldnt help but smile!

he now owns a 1991 toyota/lexus soarer GT 1UZFE active suspension model 4.0L V8 and instead of smiling you get a warm feeling that runs through your body and then an instant twinge down below :-

but its still got nothing on my mini :)

The mighty 6R4 does it for me.

Gotta love a Quattro too. In the hands of Walter Rohrl, the only human ever to properly tame the car built in hell? :)

Some nice tunes here as well :-

Nah! This has got to trump you lot!!!!

Automotive dirty stuff

or

or

The new one aint bad

This is what ruins american muscle cars in my opinion though! Everyone see's gone in 60 seconds and thinks a 67-70 GT500 fastback is the best muscle car in the world, which it just isnt.

Yes its nice, but id rather have a torrino or a Chevelle SS any day, its just that little bit less common! Hell, dont get me wrog, if i had the chance id have one in a second, just i think its rong that people like muscle cars because of 'Elanor'

Rich

Hope you're not infering that the only reason I like the GT500 is Gone in 60 Seconds >

Growing up throught the 70's and my old Nan having a Yank Petrolhead living next door I have always had a thing for big lazy American V8s. The Americana show was originally held at Wollaton Park in Notts before it was moved to Newark showground. If you've never been and you get chance check this show out. http://www.americana...national.co.uk/ 8th - 11th July

I have always had a thing for Mustangs, Cameros, Firebirds, Cobras, etc. The slow lazy burble of their big V8's on tickover and their transformation when given a tickle of the go pedal. Yank Tanks my not handle but they sure do sound sweet.

Love the Cobra Alex_B and the Cuda posted earlier. Closest you can find to the Yank sound is the TVR V8 block.

I will have to get a clip of my Cobra for you guys - it is a 7.4 litre, solid cam Big Block Chev race motor with Hillborn injection. With big headers and open side pipes (only used at an airbase race track) it sounded absolutely amazing ripping down the runways at full revs - about 185 mph!

can't beat a V8 burble :D
