Don't know if you are aware that you can up shift on a bike engine with out the use of the cluth. Once it's in first just blip the throttle and change up.
AJ, i will give you a demo when your here.

Also there is a Trip tronic system i have been looking at for the Indy which has the same kind of effect but also does down shifts, which i would say is better. You can have either buttons on your wheel or paddle shift.

This one does the same..

And yes i was aware of the ability to shift without clutch, i used to race bikes

This just allows you to shift on full throttle.

The good thing about the trickshifter is the ability to do clutchless downshifts.

as well as the obvious full throttleclutchless upshifts!

Joe, I've located a few different R1 engines, one being a 2005 model with throttle bodies, with circa 1200 miles... taken from a crashed bike, has a small crack in the sump which requires some welding, i have asked him for some pictures of the crack, to see how much damage is there... Do you reckon itd be something you could weld up for me if its not too bad?

He's after £1350 for it.

What do you reckon?

Get some pictures and we will see, or price up for another case.

The guy has plenty more engines, i could always look at a different one!

Just thought with it being an 05, with such low miles on it, it'd be better.

Spoke to a mate who knows his stuff, said the 05 is an awsome engine. Forgot to tell him about the sump. but keep on looking mate.
Do you think you will save up for the Z-cars set up. It is a nice bit of kit.

As of today we are up and running with no engine problems at all. So don't know what to do next, strip down and paint or get all the body panels on the front sorted, then full strip down.

So if someone see's a primered up Mini with a white fiberglass front end with no doors or windows. IT'S ME.
