However with only a few weeks left until its debut show we must press on.
So one weekend the engine went in:


And a couple of weekends later everything under the bonnet was about finshed and after a bit of dizzy twiddling she came back to life.
Now looks like this:

Loving the finish on your wee beastie. The rear wiper thing, i wonder if it was an after market thing or original fit as we have got the same thing on Project Paddy.
Never an original fitment Neil but fitted from the sixties onwards by some of the coach builders (radford etc.) and also available as an aftermarket kit in the sixties/seventies. Also many homemade versions about using various types of rear wiper motors from other cars.
GT looks fabulous, a lovely colour and very tasteful! Further inspiration for my GT shell.. (after the Mainstream but before the 's' I think..)

Looks very nice, I had fun and games trying to fit the sill trim over the double lip of arch and steel but looks like it went well for you.

The trim went on fine - I think the thickness of the steel/aluminium is key and by bonding the two together I didn't have to worry about using the trim to hold the arches on.
