my minis out in the rain right now, weve had a torrential down pour in brum,
at present the water is coming out of the drains and is level with the bottom of my alloys, (its as deep as the tyre are high)
im more worried about leaks than rust.

go with the weather shield, i had a few problems in the rain, sometimes when taking the load off the engine (when dropping the clutch) the engine would die, and somethimes not start for a good while.

weather shield = no more water problems >_<

In the two years my car has been on the road, it's seen torrential rain and blizzards, and its still kept working. I've taken it out on more than one occasion when it was bucketing it down, and i didn't have my weather guard fitted, and it still worked :genius: As for rusting, the water itself doesn't seem to cause that much damage, but the road salt over winter did a number on my sills >_<
