they want £53.00 fore the orange diapragm, £39.00 for the race/rally clutch plate, and 2 hours labour.
Total inc VAT is £178.60!!!
what u reckon?
thought it would have been cheaper than that!

You'll be amazed how heavy the clutch is with the orange when you first get it, the double grey is nearly twice as strong (1250 Lbs!). If your leg muscles are small enough to actually fit in the car then you don't want a double grey! The orange is rated at 76 Lbft of torque.
Anyone who suggested using a double grey with a conventional friction lining clutch plate pretty much wants you to come back and get the clutch replaced regularly. They are for using with sintered all steel clutch plates only, the clutch would tear itself to pieces really quickly if a conventional plate was used. The double grey is savage.
Oh yes, you asked a question!
The bonded plate is as Guessworks says glued all the way around as well as rivetted through. This means the friction lining is held to the plate really securely and so when you engage the clutch there is no slip or movement in the lining. This means that it can give you better performance and also it should in theory last longer.

I'm running a grey with one of the AP rally plates and it handles 120lb/ft with ease. before that i was running a stock turbo verto setup and that lasted a good 3000 miles before i destroyed it on the way home from avon park

he did my gaz adjustables, slotted discs and green stuff pads and sorted all other niggly probs out for me, cars running sweet now. apart from the clutch obviously
i recommend him big time for knowledge and work carried out, just thought it may have been cheaper.
