right, she is all wired up again (from the inside this time)

took around 100 pics to put into a wiring tutorial, should be able to whack that together some time at work next week for you budding converters.

wiring it the second time i relised again just how simple the wiring actually is, made even easier if you use many of the existing mini fuses!

all will be revealed soon, but for now here is some taster shots:

not as scary as it looks, honest guys! Can see here where i have pretty much welded up every hole in the bulkhead (no more leaks hopefully)
don't worry, i have a fglass dash that will cover all this messyness.

All looks really good, I can see what you mean about simple wiring, you should see behind the dash of my MPI! And I've got electric windows, central locking, a 12v socket, 8 interior lights, relays for it all and timer circuits.

Under the bonnet's looking really tidy, you should be really proud of that. You could just buy some lengths of silicone hose to replace the rubber ones.

Isnt that fuel filter supposed to be conected to something, like, erm, the fuel line?

thanks eagle eye, was just disconnected whilst i tested it all, one less thing to go wrong

How much lower is the sump on this conversion ?

Has the ground clearance been reduced by much ?

how easy would these be to turbo? looks a reli good engine conversion and one that wouldnt cost a bomb to insure surely :S Nice project tho mate well done

not sure on turbos although bigchief has done one so i am sure it is possible. MY current question:

What structural properties do the triangle sections on the left and right sides have (the ones connecting the wings to the firewall, just in front of the tower bolts)
The problem i am having is that the left hand one is in the way of the alternator, what are my options here?

haha, i would go out if i were you mate, i can't take pics until my dad brings his camera home and im just about to go out to work now!

may have to be tomorow morning that i do a pic update :thumbsup:
