This is very cool. You can even find old bikes like these thrown in skips and rubbish heaps.

there is 1 in the stream by me, its very old, you can see most of the bike, but its been in there a few years, would make a cool "rat" bike lol

Ahhh looks so fun!

The crankset is gonna look beaut once it's on dude, need some myself now! (once i arrange to collect the bike, which will be very soon i hope)

Once mines all built i'm pretty sure i'll have a few cuts & bruises from trying to wheelie it. Can easily do a mile in one go on my mtb, although something tells me this will be harder! :(

HA! I wish. I'm just gonna be using it to get from A to B, any attempt at any kind of tricks will most likely end up with me flat on my face and my bike in pieces! :)
I'll learn as i go, but very slowly... haha

Yeah BMX cranks to go with my spanish BB.

Jack hurry up and pick it up man! :dontgetit:

Ha ive learnt the hard way... lets just say i was looking at this thred few weeks ago though it looked cool.

Got bored at work decided to weld my free wheel on bmx up, thinking judging by the videos "it cant be to hard to ride".

Next minute trying to wheelie down road which i could do great before fail and smashed back of my head on floor hurt abit. Got back up and found its fun to mess about on but trying to pedal home is hard expecialy down hill. Also did my ankels in twice when i stoped pedaling acidently as its a habit when you have free wheel.

Oh well felt like a great idea but it realy isnt not on a bmx any way.

Got it rideable (just) after doing the tyres and removing the rear mudguard (that thing is seriously rusty, it kinda fell off whilst i was pushing it from the guys shop)

Yeah I had a go on a fixie a while back and decided it wasn't for me, thats why i've got a single speed back pedal brake rear hub so I can still coast and not injure myself! lol

Got it! Excuse the terrible vid, i were a little excited

Hi all,

I'm currently chasing down a few frames/wheels on ebay and gumtree and maybe i'll win at least one of them :(

If i do i'll make it either a fixie or a singlespeed - i do like the idea of a fixie but will probably be too much of a girl for one :P

i love your bike Ajperry. looks realllly nice. :)

Hey ho!

Just got back from Goodwood Revival. Awesome day! some really nice minis in there. also had a look at some of the old vintage push bikes and was astonished to see how much they were selling for! almost 'car money'! haha

Anyway, I'm still here and the bike is still part finished. still waiting on the cups but as the guy is doing them as a favour i dont want to rush him. he reckons early this week, so if all goes to plan - famous words on this thread - should be riding by the end of the week!

Thanks for the continued support and interest people! much appreciated to read enthusiastic comments!

Perry :)

Ive tried riding a mates fixie, can just about bunnyhop it without falling of, but it is more of a road bike setup than yours
