I'm fitting a switch on the signal wire to the starter and hiding it behind the dashboard as suggested earlier in the thread.
Also I'm fitting a dummy alarm flashing LED (approx 60p from Maplin) to the dashboard. I'm wiring the live to a permanent live and the earth to an ignition live, that way when the ignition is on the light doesn't flash, but when it is off it flashes.
It is pointless fitting a good alarm as it will be really easy to bypass as the wiring on the car is so simple.
Obviously it will still be possible to steal the car and nothing can stop a thief with a truck ... but hopefully it will deter the petty TWOCer.

I'm fitting a battery isolator in the boot - ( about 25 quid from Deamon Tweeks) The boot is quite hard to break into (compared with the rest of the car).

Thieves who broke into my car simply pulled one edge of the boot and pulled it open.
Dont wire an earth to a live, please :| Use a relay.
And my alarm is behind the dash, and so is most of the wiring, so without first breaking into the car, and completely taking the dash out you cant touch it. You also cannot get to the door, bonnet, or boot switches i have without opening said items first.
