I was going to put a standard lever in mine after mine broke, but then I saw the price for a new one.

Heres the new lever: Link Thats currently on offer and still costs £45

Then you'd need this: Link For £30

You'd also need to get a couple of these and mount them in the rod housing for the shroud to locate onto: Link

So if you buy new its a better bet to get a KAD quickshift.

Job complete! Received the genuine KAD fitting, had to fettle the casting a little for the kad fitting to get a sliding fit. But I did ring KAD for some advice (they were very friendly and helpful!) and they did say that their quick change adaptor is quite difficult to remove and does require tapping in with a rubber mallet. I avoided this by rubbing down the outer boss of the casting to get a good solid fit, bit of engineers blue helped with finding the interference points.
A couple tips from my experience, the drift pin is easier to use if you cut the thick barrel in half to shorten the drift, this gives you a bigger hammer swing in confined areas. I held the drift with a set of mole grips.
I did the removal of the roll pins with the car on axle stands with limited access.
Also be careful to make sure that the gear linkage is in the correct orientation before refitting the roll pins. I got this wrong and ended up removing and refitting the pin – clown!

Thank you for everyone’s help on this thread.

Case Closed :gimme:

…. Now to my fan problem!

What do you n 'correct orientation.' I'm having trouble with my grears - I have 5 forwards and no reverse! Could I have something the wrong way round? Vincent
