could do but that would just take up to much time and want original ones

I can't see anyone that has removed these will have done it neatly enough to make them useable afterwards. Usual method is hack them out roughly with a grinder and then tidy up the ragged edges left behind. Your only real hope is if there is some one with a scrap shell that is willing to take the time to remove them carefully.

that is a very good point . i think i may have to just fork out for some new ones i reckon . cheers anyway people

build has been put on hold for the mo as my mate's other half has had a baby . so it will be a bit slow lol

little update but has moved the project on qhuite a bit really lol

and finally back on all four wheels .



need to tweek the suspension so the back is higher and the front is lower lol . bit of a wedge at the mo . got plenty left to do

doors
interior
bonnet and boot
wiring
all lights
engine ancilaries
dash
run fuel lines and brake lines
etc etc but getting there

yeah defo well into rebuild now . looking forward to turning that key a driving out a mini that was pushed in without an engine

been taking the engine to bits recently and rebuilding . killed the thermostat housing while removing obviously there is always one stuboarn bolt got the gearbox and block and everything painted up . all the driveshafts on and hubs ec . just bought a new brake pipe tool so now can run all the brake lines so it has working brakes and going to bleed th clutch in soon .

turns out in is not a 1275 engine but more . does anyone know how the messure the dish on the pistons so i know exactly what cc they are .

also i have a very clight bit of movement on the pistons but only when i push hard is that normal .

progress been a bit slow atm as been doing my mates clio too but it looks good lol

hey guys its been a while but i can finally d the update i been trying to do for the last couple of weeks thank god lol

anyway progress has ben a little slow but is still moving none the less lol

firstly
when the engine was first stripped .



and the head we found out that the inlet valves were nearly 5mm bigger than standard


had a bit of a clear out . as you can see from outside the weather was totally *******


more clearing up and generally being more tidy


getting fancy with the pics





mostly rebuilt the engine and started some wiring













thts it for now people . any comments are always welcome .

also pictures that havent been taken are all the brake pipes have been plumbed in . bled in and all working .

the clutch has also been bled in and working

and engages all gears

front headlight wiring look has ben made up . rear lights have bee put back on and rear bottom lights . one will be a reverse light and one a fog light . its looking very smooth if you ask me . cheers again
