it could be the ht leads or the spark plugs or a dodgy distributor cap? if the engine turns over but wont start i would try making the fuel mixture a bit richer or the spark plugs mighnt be producing the spark and if it isnt those i really dont know

new cap new arm new leads and new plugs . we got power to the distributor but nothing to the plugs .

try changin the coil, might help!

na the coil is fine everything is how it should be to the distributor just nothing from there to the plugs

yesh rotor arm is back in and we changed the distributor as well and it is still the same . it is really doing my head in

might be worth checking the fuses now, there might be a bad connection somewhere.

It's going to look amazing. :- Are you going to do the rest of your paint yourself now?

So your definitely getting power to the dizzy? leads are new, cap is new and rotor arm is new? Your getting no spark at any of the plugs?
Are the points okay and adjusted properly?
Has the engine got a decent earth? (probably fine if it's turning over okay)
Don't make assumptions parts are working okay just because there new. Sounds silly but I have had parts that didn't work out of the box or that failed within a couple of seconds of use.

My 1st guess would be that the wiring to the coil (low voltage circuit) is connected up wrong or damaged.
Let us know how you get on.

well thanks allot . we are in middle of rebuild atm so paint is all done . its electronic distributor so no points etc. and the engine is still on its original subframe . so wired everything up as it should be so no fueses either . but this has been put aside for now till rebuilt and in the car

hi all . not much of an update today . but i have managed to refit the clutch cylinder and brake servo also the pedal box going to be a very long day tommorow i think . refitting engine etc .

now then i now allot of u have removed ur rear bins so i was wondering if anybody has them for sale as i dont fancy paying for new ones . lol

also the front part of the rear seat panel if u have it

if u do have these parts please message me and we can sort something out .

Right then people a long awaited pictured update .

firstly new bottom dash rail as we never had one lol

and thats it for now .

update but no pictures

engine has been stripped of all ancilaries and removed from old subframe [subframe for sale if anyone is interested with disks, calipers, suspension setup and driveshafts] . hubs have had old ball joints removed and painted up ready for new ball joints and disks etc ready to be rebuilt onto the subframe .

come on peeps u must have some rear bins lying around that u dont need or the rear lower weat rail . i really need them and will pay cash or maybe a swap for something let me know please soon . and comment please
