is there any progress with this. really interested in it. you had to extend at all? meet a metro gti driver in the petrol station the other day. i was like is that a 1.4 he was like it was, it has the 1.8 out of the zr in it with a small amount of tuning. he reckoned about 180 ponies. i got a 1330, camed up stage two head etc so mine doesnt hand about and through the corners he was struggling it seemed (or my balls are bigger than my eyes) either way we came on the motorway and he was gone. he said subarus etc were nothing on it. i was stunned. being 17 money isnt easy to come about, and to get a lot more power out of my engine i will need to spend a lot more money. so i feel this conversion is perfect as a 1.8 fits in place of the 1.4 at a later date if i decide to go down that root. what you guys think?

This is my plan, but I think the 1.4's are good for about 100bhp, which is still alot in a mini and it'll be the most powerful car I've owned..

A 1.8 maybe a plan for the future but not straight away..

And no progress as of yet, other than stocking up on parts! I'm awaiting a local club member to help me with the welding and what not..
