Fitted the avonbar actuator yesterday, took the carb off to get to it a bit easyier, ******* me getting the airfilter hose on the compressor is tight even with the engine steady unbolted! lucky i go small hands . think i got the preload about right, it boosts at about 0.6bar which is about 8psi with the bleed valve shut, pulls really well, dosent loose boost though gears now. Also packed the bov in the plenum with loads of 5p's as it was stil fitted, doh!

changed the janspeed rocker cover with a normal a+ cover as its slight slimmer, as when i booted it the bonnet would pop open because of the intercooler hose resting on the bonnet, but think its okay now.

when starting the mini up after fitting the actuator yesterday i heard a metallic knocking noise coming from the rad area, so i moved the breather about on the cam cover and BANG! it hit the fan , now ive got a plastic fan with one less fin and scrape marks all the way round = fan knackerd. i dont even have a spare one either at least they aint much to buy.
