Do Minis Fit In Transit Vans?

YES, mini's do fit in the transits you have pictured, this is speaking from experience as i have moved a couple of saloon shells in lwb transits and a pickup shell in a long cube, a bare shell can be a bit tight on the sills between the van arches, so best thing to do is put some wheels or a pallet ect between the arches for the shell to sit on.

in the pic at the bottom of the previous page the wheel arches have been cut out you can see it clearly. :P

I know russ swift used to transport his in a VW LT something.. might have been a 65.

The van pictured on the bottom of the previous page is a Citroen Relay/Peugeot Boxer/Fiat Ducato. They do have quite narrow and unobtrusive wheel arch tubs. Seen a couple of Mini's in the back of them before.

Don't think they have, unless you mean the ply lined boxes that's usually covering the wheel arches?

Nice! reminds me of bringing my mini up from my moms house, nothing like precariously perching a mk1 shell on a short bed four wheel drive nissan! I do think my cheap 4x8 chinese trailer was a bit overloaded though on the trip up...

They fit!!! I know they fit in the newer shape transits. People do it at racing it's a bit of a squeeze but they do go in!!!!

yea thats what i was commenting on, my brother has the same van and those boxes take up a fair amount of space.

OOps! ...should have added that the Tranny is a LWB medium high top, and the Mini was put on 12" rims for this excersise :(
