Can't say I'm that bothered by it, the MINI brand now is what Rover should have done, it would have kept them going easily but in past British fashion they would never completely re-design anything, just keep adding bits from the parts bin which is what killed them. I've just always begrudged how the germans bought it and turned the mini design we all love so much into a multi million pound brand name, they stick the logo on anything and earn a fortune! I really don't rate the quality of anything of theirs, ok the designs are quirky but only modern copies of the 50's originals.

Rant over!

p.s. in fairness it looks like they've hit the nail on the head with the scooter, whether we like it or not it's gonna be a big success!

There's an official video of it here. You can start it with an iPhone.

Angers me when he keeps saying mini! and also talking about the mods in the 60s.
He's not even English, how would he know!!!! :)

Lets not verge on racism now.
But I do agree about how he keeps saying Mini.

So what is it, just a brand name now? Let's make MINI laptops and office chairs!

I'm going to go right ahead and say that I don't care if I sound like I'm MINI bashing, this is stupid!

What racism is that ?

BMW cashing in on another retro movement !

'He's not even English, how would he know!!!!'
Errmm... that?! :P You don't have to be a given nationality to know something or did I miss that part of my education?

But yeah, they'll just milk all they can. Modern day, multi-billion Euro companies for you I suppose.

The BINI brand was developed at rover, then split from the company when sold by BMW, like what they do with every other car company.
