Yes mate.

There are some greasy marks which could do with a bit of polish before fitting

A good day today fitting the rear subframe.

It was really hard to work out where everything goes, but the subframe is all bolted in place and the pipes are all run front to back.

The plan for tomorrow is to get the steering rack and front subframe bolted in

Looking good Carl!

Did it all go on trouble free?

Erm..............

No.

The Minispares camber and toe in/out brackets are a challenge to fit.

I fitted them before bolting the subframe on which made it impossible to bolt the trunions on.

I had to unbolt them, but then they were a bit of a pig to line back up

Today I have fitted the steering rack and started building the front subframe.

Unfortunately, I'm missing 2 seals for the upper arm, so I could only fit the arm on one side.

Then I found that the posh adjustable arms I bought don't fit so I had to paint up the other adjustable arms and allow them to dry.

So in all, I've managed to fit one top arm to the front subframe. Not exactly huge progress

I'm trying to work out the brake set up at the moment.

The 2 way brass union for the front subframe is 25 quid from Minispares, that's a fortune!

Another couple of hours of play

Top and bottom arms in one side of the subframe. I was missing 2 washers to put the other top arm in. I've found the really expensive one, but I can't find the other one, so I've ordered one, and a couple of other bits from Minispares.

And cleaning up and painting the tie bars. These look lovely and shiny. Unfortunately they're a bit tacky still so I couldn't get them on the car, that'll hopefully be a job for Friday before work.

I'm hoping to get the subframe in next week just to get it out the way. I'll build the hubs off the car then I may be able to get it back onto it's wheels.

Exciting times

Getting near now!

It's going to be a huge milestone once it's back on it's wheels.

Well i guess no getting away from having to carefully mask the arches now eh. don't want over spray on your nice shiny new suspension!

It's VERY close to being back on it's wheels. I'll put the tie bars on tomorrow, then hopefully I'll have the bits I'm missing by Friday and I can do the other top arm.

I need to work out whether I'm using the mini or metro drive flanges with the 4 pots.

It's all going on.

Exciting times!

There's still some bodywork jobs to do. I need to sort the waist rails, paint the inside of the 1/4s, inside of the doors and sort the boot.

Probably need to paint the door shuts too
