So close mate are you painting with the doors on?
I think so mate, it's a metallic paint so it should be painted with the doors on.

Tie Bars on
And I've started building up the hubs.
Unfortunately I think the threads on the other side are too damaged to use so I'll have to have a trip down to see Josh before I can build that side up.
I'm a bit confused about some of the bits in the kit, there seems to be 4 lock tabs and I can't work out why?

Lets do that then. At least we won't have to worry so much about the compressor as we will only need enough puff to do one panel at a time
Great build, with regards to painting individual panels, be very careful. metallic paints become more or less metallic depending on your pressures, paint thinner ratio and the hardest to keep constant, distance of gun to panel. This is why when having repairs done they blend into surrounding panels.

Really enjoying it. Unfortunately, I've only just got in from work, I'm on call and back in at 10.
Hopefully more updates towards the end of next week

Looks fantastic, this is the kind of detail id love to do, but always end up just sticking the running gear together unpainted etc.
Cant wait to see it finished.

Thanks for the comments.
Hopefully I'll make more progress next week.
I need to work out whether I need to use metro or mini flanges.
I've got all the bits to get the front end rolling too so I'm hoping to get it on wheels soon

I've got the front subframe kind of in.
One of the front panel bolts needs a bit of persuading to get it to line up but it all looks to line up nicely with the toe board mounts.
I need to loosen the tower bolts to and see if I can get the front panel sorted but I want to loosely bolt the toe board mounts on first.
It's all very close but I'm off to work soon.
Then the plan is to get the handbrake on, get it on it's back wheels and have a dolly under the front.

So you will be rolling very soon!
Is the front panel mount far out?

Less than half the hole mate, it just wants the tower bolts loosened and that'll sort it.
It's quite a challenge to do yourself with the whole thing rocking on the trolley jack
