That picture shows the colour off much better mate

If I took the DSLR down I'd get far better pictures. That's what I did with the piece of pipe.

Taking photos with my phone and uploading to photobucket is just so quick and easy.

The wife and child are both sleeping at the moment. I really want to go back down and flat the boot lid back. I need to resist the urge, it'll be better left overnight, especially as it's not very warm

I should be out in the garage now tending to mine but i just can't get the ummph to do it especially as the next task is fitting the inner sill and i'm certain i won't have enough gas to get it done.

I need to go to Ryde and get more gas but i really can't be bothered.

I would leave that primer overnight if i were you mate, if it drags when rubbing down, it will cause you more grief.

bring it indoors perhaps?

Ben

I don't think the boss will go for that.

I could put the heater on in there but I've got the window open and the door slightly ajar to keep the smell down

I'm dying to see this all in paint. It's already becoming one of my faves!

Will look amazing in that colour with the deseam/debumpered look

Can't believe how far this one has come since I last looked, and such a cool story. Keep at it! I can't wait to see it in that stunning colour.

Thanks Craig.

My plan is to paint the inside of the boot lid, then I'll be back to refurbishing bits like the pedal box, etc

Then once the weather improves in the spring we'll get it in colour

That sounds like a good plan. I am amazed that you have the patience to wait until spring to paint the car but it will definitely pay off! Patience is a virtue in such things. All of the little bits really do take a lot of time but refurbishing them is great fun and I find therapeutic. Nothing like having boxes of freshly refurbished or new parts waiting to fix onto a freshly painted shell!

I've been looking for somewhere to paint it, and I have one potential option coming up, but it may not come off.

Otherwise it'll be a gazebo in the spring

Today I've painted the inside of the boot lid

IMG-20141121-WA0000_zpse9pzsnrc.jpeg

The imperfections from my primer errors have shown through, but there'll be inserts so you wont see them.

Then I cleaned all the dust and stuff from inside.

It all looks lovely
