Same here. I'd rather see the finish results with some good outdoor photos before i'd say i'd want one.

Ok then, I'll get a few made up, get one painted and fitted to my car and get some pictures before I go any further with this.
Please leave this topic open though so I can upload photos in the near future.
Cheers

I'd personally attach them using self-tapping screws on the front valance. Although you could use rivets or blend them in somehow.

Not sure about making a clubby one, Just wanted to make a mould of this one. Don't have a clubby to test fit one to either.

If the holes were blanked off, then the recess would still be there.

Thought I'd have a little play around with paint.net, came up with this possibility...

how about square fog lights in those two spacers and keep the indicators as they were...

and what will it look like with a numberplate on?

i might consider one, at the right price, as my front valence is horrid :)

I would mount the number plate straight to it or possibly use a stick-on one.
Just noticed that there are no number plate brackets on that mini.
It would be quite simple to cut slots where your number plate brackets are and put the plate where it usually sits.
I'll try photoshopping one with a plate on too.
Not sure what fog lights would fit in those slots.

Easy answer is just to register as a trader first, and then start a thread up to guage interest.

The rules there to protect everyone, heres a what if....

What if someone comes along, starts up a thread "guaging" interest in a product, he then gets a load of interest, maybe even a few PMs from people who want said product.

Matey then agrees to sell them the bits and takes payment, matey then disappers(along with the money)

The people who've sent the deposit then contact the TMF team asking for our help getting then money back, we don't know anything about this guy(because he hasn't registered as a trader) and instantly hit a brick wall.

All of sudden its out fault for not protecting our members enough!!

Dammed if we do and dammed if we don't.

The trader system works and is a valuable asset to TMF, all we have to do is use it!!

Surely you dont expect people to register as a trader for any idea they may have for possible development. Most of us mini owners have ideas about bits and bobs (most that we have made to get us out of a fix) that if produced could be of help to other people. I've had a few myself but unfortunately there is nowhere allowed on here to develop them, just accusations of attempting to trade within the first 5 seconds of the thread going live. The forum would have thousands of registered traders if we were required to register for an idea.

Surely an 'ideas & development' forum section would be a great addition to the site, and could lead to members registering as traders once development gets to final production stage.

People buy at their own risk from non-traders, and a simple disclaimer at the top (in OTT red writing should surfice) stating that any purchases are made at own risk, and if the Thread Owner is found to be trading before registering as a trader the thread will be deleted.

It wouldn't take much to implement it, just a few clicks and a couple of key strokes. I also dont see what harm it could actually make, apart from making the Mods a little more liked for saying yes to an idea for a change  :)

like these (one on the left)

Posted Image

maybe used as daytime running LED's (if you got an LED one)

modern audis and mercs have them on the very bottom of the bumper

Posted Image

not sure how it will look with those lights and a set of 4 fog lights across the grill though...

me personally i would get some LED's to go in those spaces for daytime LED's, and have the bar of 4 fog lights as foglights (and to flash people)

another question, would this be classed asa body kit or a spoiler for insurance purposes?

Just to update,
Getting some of these made up early January so will update when I have any news.
Will definately get pictures and get one fitted (also, register as a trader) before I think about selling them.
As to fitting, we're hoping to have a couple to trial first so not sure yet, they will be easy to fit I expect.
After that I'll get a run of maybe 5 made up to see how well they sell.
Feel free to ask any questions/suggestions.
Cheers
