right pick the mini up on friday, so got a busy weekend.

plus ive been buying things for it as well, got me a nice new cobra seat, and some plastic windows to keep the weight down

so plan for this weekend is just to get it water tight again, and then put a couple of seats in it and get an mot and then take my time on getting it how i want it to look, as i can spend my evenings on base finishing of the interia and getting my cage in and cobra seat as well as silly things like carpets and dash,

and most importantly that engine which i cant wait to have fitted to my car again :)

its grey!!!

i dont know why she thinks its blue, think she needs anouther smack in the head, last night she asked me if when i go to sea next year she can have it to drive, i had to point out the fact her car looks like its been down the road on its side and roof, shes got no chance.

like all women drivers they drive it like a bumper car and like to smash into everything they can.

im back home this weekend so im gonna chuck some seats in and fingers crossed get it all finished of ready for an mot for next week, and then i can tax it and start driving the little beast again :)

good news after this weekend of hard work, ive finished my mini off, she drives she has all of her electrics working, which im amased at as i built the loom lol

so my mate is dropping it of for an mot this week, so we can see what happens and if she fails, then fix it and straight back for a re booking :)

Hi Mate, I think a Weber 40DCOE is too small for a 1300 engine. The 45 is the one to use if you want to make use of a Weber (probably with 36mm chokes). The 40 doesn't flow enough air and is more suitable for 1000cc engines.

i disagree, spesh when my 1380 runs with my weber 40 and that runs well

I also disagree with Kaj.. You cant run a webber on a 998!!! thats just silly... In fact a Hiff 44 is to big for a 998.. Depending on spec of course.
Im running an HIFF 44 on my 1380.

By the way danny1 your spec looks Fab!!Im defo going to watching this build. By the way do you speak French???? After todays news you may need to learn.
Bloody poor show if you ask me!!!

full race mini sevens run a 45 with one side blocked off, these are the prob the best 998cc s about.
a full race 1293cc miglia runs a 45 using both sides.
on my old full race 1380cc mini i did a back to back comparison with a 48 webber and a 45 dcoe and have got to say the 48 was better.

My 1293 runs a 45. Not sure on the full spec but i am sure it also has a scatter cam. Was built and raced by Mike Barrett of MBE in lincoln. Last time i had it on the rollers did 87 @ wheels.
Danny i thought at first you had the spec list of my car. Shafts the same ect ect then i saw the 7 port head. Very nice shame its gone tho.
If you really want it to be lumpy i can call in and ask Mike what spec my cam is. There isn't much below 2k at all then all hell lets loose.
Its good fun and can be scary, but mine is severly lightened which helps to add to the stains :-)
