Jacko the V.P. models were a high spec. The label went on quite a few English cars.A bit like Karmen on a VW.Many older drivers loved the range. The MGB GT 1800cc is a nice classic, never had one but they feel nice and a smart shape. Many are rotten but you can still get a fair one cheap these days around £1,500 on the road. They will go up.Midgets to.

i see the poor allegros are taking some serious fire of you guys now! at the place i worked previous to S.H.F all we really did was classic stuff, quite a few of which were agros, and thinking about it now i didnt use the factory jacking points to lift them up for work (possibly a good thing!) so maybe you are all right!

i can remember the last one i drove though (about 4 months back) it belongs to the seargant at old hill police station and when i took it in for its mot i have to say i was impressed with how it drove, much better than i thought and not at all rolly-polly like i had thought before.

i think my mini is going on ebay this weekend so i will let you know how the hunt goes!

You have got the Allegro BUG,see your G.P.Good luck with Mini sale. They are a cute shape but make sure you get a good one.In the 80s there were so many of them.Mate had the 1750cc twin carb.It went quite well. Most would pump the back up to high and stick a break light under it.Fluffy dice to.I have never used any factory jacking points on any car always go to the trouble of finding a solid safe part to jack from.Always support a trolly when up before getting under, seen a few bad ones when the seals pop straight down.We all get are own Classic tastes so we all do joke a bit on general chat.If its unfair just tell us and we stop. How much are you willing to spend on one.I only ask because i love all classics at my age and the interest in what others go for over the years. Was shocked when i bought a show class VW S/Rocco white Zebra ltd. edition with full standard body kit and no rot about 10 years ago.Young people would ask if it was a Lotus,a VW fan travelled 200 miles to buy it at a good fair £1000 bargain for a man who loved it with full history. With my cars and other retired mates we buy a lot of cars for a hobby but like to decide who buys them.Been doing it many years, classics are my subject.Post back with the details and model you are after, plus price.
In the old days many cars i never thought would be worth anything have gone up so much, thats life.In 1980s a guy offered me a real MK1 yellow Ford Escort RS2000 solid needing engine rebuild about £175,muggings turned it down and bought a capri.with some of us older guys we remember the jokes when some cars came out. With many come and go cars one has to bight there lip looking back how much they are worth now.My Cooper S MKI old D reg was only £750 Original engine etc..Wish i still had her.We all do the same if we are petrol heads over life.Another Mint Car was a Cortina 2000 MK3 Gt yellow and cost me £75 in the old days and mint.Went fast.My list makes a fun read. When you get this AllAgro post us all,a nickname only because the police had them before Noddy Metro 1000cc cars.
