personaly i would just take the washer bottle out and leave it in the house over night, it easier than it freezing
That won't help if the lines freeze up.

Bit of brake cleaner, screan wash and water works alright, depends what brake cleaner it its the stuff from uni part worked its mainly just alcohol.
Or get some methalated spirit in there thats just denature alchol. All works the same cheaper than vodka/vodkat stuff.

Or a ready mixed solution thats certified and fit for purpose
Or that as well but some people like to experiment.
My screen wash still froze when id mixed it more than it said too so i just pourd in some brake cleaner since it was to hand and works for so many other things and its not froze since cleans window good too.

Just a quick overview of brake cleaner, although htis application is aerosol delivered, you get the idea, take a read and then decide if you want this stuff squirting on your pain and windscreen.
http://www.ehow.com/...ngredients.html
All mixed in a small amount with water and screan wash works a treet and shouldent do any harm. And obviously most of that is in varry small quantitys for the most part its alcohol be it methanol, isoporinol so on. Dont know why every one gets scared of using things just because it dosent say thats its main use on the bottel/tin.
Obviously you should use screen wash but if you have rubbish stuff and happend to have something else to hand to do the job whats the problem
