Hi all purchaced my MK1 mini last week from london, found it on classic car website has been stood up for a while. It is all complete but needs a full restoration, which im going to bear shell it back to bear metal , give it a fresh coat of green with an off-white roof and put a metro turbo engine in. Want to keep it looking like an austin cooper S , will be asking lots of advice and questions and will be keeping you guys updated with progress throughout my project !!!!
Let me know what you think :)

Mk1 auto, unusual.

Looks fairly solid, be interesting to see how solid it really is,

Would be a shame to cut the bulkhead on this for the turbo.
Have you thought about a mirage manifold kit and a T2?

hehe, i wasnt putting you down

i was trying to find a pic of one of the minis that i had bought to me for work, the hole they cut was oversized buy about 2cm LOL, and they had put fibreglass round it to fill the gap! make me laugh how they though fibreglass would last?

it was a mess :)

im sure yours will look great
