There really aren't clandestine meetings in smoky rooms, most of the staff messages are just to keep one another informed of what's going on so you don't get it in the ear off 3 different mods at the same time. The biggest discussion of late was to sort out the new classifieds so it could be introduced with as few teething problems as possible.

And you all did a great job. On that one however, I would have included the swap section as many sales slide through there!! Also, would it have been unreasonable to require ALL, not just the ones with a low post count, users to be TMF+ members considering the benefit they receive? I doubt ebay will introduce a scheme were you can place as many ads as you like for £5 a year...lol

A forum is a place to exchange ideas and make suggestions to improve the experience for all.I understand that you guy are not professionals (that is my fault as I deal with professional daily) and I apologise for holding you to that standard. All I ask is that you (as a team) acknowledge each suggestion made, from wherever, and give feed back when it has been considered. Is that too much to ask?

There seems to be a difference of opinion between staff members. Some say you rarely get a chance to look at some topics, others say this is not a problem.
Surely any help given to reduce work load would be welcome.

great, so this thread is going to go the same way as the others in the past few days is it?

Everyone is getting very tired of it and personally (and you note that i am not using red writing as this is not in my role as admin) I think that the current staff are doing a great job.

I have never said they are not doing a great job, however things could be better for them and the members

The moderators are doing well at keeping things running and you have no idea how much work the admins do both on TMF and outside of the actual forum to keep this running so you can complain and be at the heart of every controversial thread.

I know perfectly well how much work is involved and name one instant where I have complained without cause. The comment about being at the heart of controversial threads just I am entitled to my opinion just as you are

It seems you have taken it upon yourself to crusade against the current staff which is especially surprising as you keep touting for a position on the staff. your behaviour makes this a very slim possibility to be honest.

Your memory fails you. I offered my professional help to the team once and then withdrew my offer. How is that "keep touting for a position on the staff"? Remarks like that are offensive, untrue and in the strict interpretation of the rules, should result in an increase in warning level to you. For the record, I fully support the current staff and have tried to make life easier for you all.

As for you increasing workload, your posts to propagate the threads that have caused the moderating team most work in the past week have caused so much work for the team it is unbelivable. if we didn't have to deal with threads like this then maybe suggestions would get actioned quicker. As for your current suggestions, the main one you provided recently was to split the Regional Sections down even more. That will not happen as when they were smaller it was a nightmare for it to be looked after. The current sections do not currently work and we are reviewing how this can be resolved but at the moment the upgrade of TMF is taking priority so it'll be looked at when we upgrade along with a number of other suggestions.

The decision on the regions...maybe you have not considered the geographical location of members. I ssuggest the whole point of having sections is to encourage local meetings and events. With the regions being so disjointed and large, many members do not want to have a 200 mile round trip to attend a regional event.

Most of the suggestions are totally unworkable which is why they never see the light of day and as for a Suggestion Mod... WHY? we have a large team who are, as I said earlier, doing a great job. and as for a suggestion we took on board.. Take a look at the classified section people hated the "new" classifieds and we took that on and changed back to a slighty changed version of the old section. It works well so saying we don't action suggestions is a down right lie.

If suggestions are unworkable, why can you not just explain why?. Again, when have I ever stated that you don't action suggestions? All I have asked for is communication. Whtas wrong with that?

Now in my role as an admin any further attacks on staff members wil result in the relevant warnings being dished out. We have too much to do than to constantly deal with unnecessary arguments

I have never attacked any member of staff and threats of warnings do not help this situation.

The objective of the minimum posts count to use the classifieds was to discourage
"car booters" and scammers who could use the forum as a free alternative of Ebay without contributing anything to our community. We didn't want to charge genuine users either, the TMF+ concession was seen as the best compromise to allow new members to access the classifieds as well. It's early days, so lets see how it works. Hopefully, if we've given you a classifieds section you want to use there'll be less attempts to sell stuff through the valuations section, if not we'll have to moderate it more closely.

You will get different answers off different staff members, we're all individuals and there's no conspiracy

I know other mods and admins are busier than me because I'm rarely online at the busiest times, for example - and I'm lazier of course :)
