anyone know what the problem could be given the figures?

TPS - 0.5 V at tick over - 3 v open throttle

MAP when the engine is:
1. off is 1000MB
2. Idling is 260MB
3. At 3000 rpm - 2500MB - ignition timing goes down to -25 at this point too
4. with VAC pipe disconnected - at 3000rpm - 1500MB

Ignition advance - 15 degrees going to -27 degrees

Stepper position - T.O varying, 116 with revs

Lambda fluctuating from 200Mv to -750Mv

Cheers

1. off is 1000MB

Yep as expected - 1000mb is pretty much atmospheric pressure, so with the engine off this is right...

2. Idling is 260MB

Yep as expected - the 'suck' on the engine is creating the vacuum and lowing the pressure to, in this case, 260mb

3. At 3000 rpm - 2500MB - ignition timing goes down to -25 at this point too

Most odd! - Its now saying that there is basically 2.5 times atmosperic pressure in the inlet manifold... You got a turbo?? :)
Would also expect the ignition timing to retard like it has as what is being reported is a load of air going in!

Get a vacuum pump on the MAP sensor and pull a vacuum and read off the results... It shouldnt ever go above 1000mb (atmospheric)

no turbo... the guy at the garage was saying that my car is behaving like its supercharged! (not really possible with my set up!) does make me wonder if I had an after market ECU... and the engine is doing what it is doing... it'll fly?!

Will get a vacuum pump on the Map sensor and see what happens (back to garage)

Cheers
