The plans are £15 and come with a comprehensive build guide on CD. There were a few vague areas in the build guide, but generally very well thought out. You can buy various parts from the same company or source your own. I've modified the design in a few ways, but you could just build straight from the guide and it would work.

As a little more inspiration, here is the finished car. Completed last night.

The drill chuck friction drives the rear wheel. So, you wouldn't want to use an expensive drill because it side loads the bearings. I made a CNC drive wheel to hold in the chuck. That's the shiny bit you can see under the rear arch. We have subsequently stretched a piece of inner tube over it for better friction on the tyre. The larger diameter gives around 6mph. The standard chuck drive would give around 4 mph, a fast walking pace.

I've also added an adjustable throttle pedal stop. The standard setup pulls on a bike brake cable and the inner is just nipped under a screw and washer. This can pull out. With the throttle stop, this doesn't happen. It can also be used to limit the top speed :P

You can get all the info you need from here:

But if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. I'll do my best to help.

Incidentally, I don't have anything to do with this company. I just spotted the plans on eBay and built one!
