so what do i do then? my estate is on my drive, sorn though, but has no plates or vins as its currently under going resto.

The Mayfair projects the same, first thing I did was remove the number plate and vin plate for safekeeping. Also so nosey neighbour could report it or some lowlife nicking them instead. But what you might find is they’ll want to know why you have a car with no identity on it, is it stolen, ringed etc? No one is presumed innocent till proven otherwise anymore.

I have the logbook and stuff, which shows thats its an estate, colour matches etc also the previous owner would back me up in saying it legit :)

Can I ask how you got the car from the seller to your drive way?? I assume it was on a trailer.........

If not perhaps it was spotted on the road?? :)
