You can either go for Group 7's (a set are on the blue Clubman on the cover of this months MiniWorld mag) or as you say Miglia.

The Miglia are a little bit more difficult to fit. In Carbon we could do them for £159.99 - delivered. less 10% = £143.99

would really like a mk1 bootlid but the last one I bought did not fit properly - one corner would just not make contact!

In what way are they difficult to fit? I know that the CF ones from Minispeed have to have little brackets made up, but that aint a problem, I'd do them at work. Do they have to be trimmed alot too?

Was the bootlid bought from us???

Double skin boots are difficult to produce, it is two skins bonded together, sometimes the bootlids warp - but all of ours are left a week to cure and then trial fitted in the boot aperature before we despatch.

Minimadme,

The group 7's just screw into place but as you say the Miglia require brackets making which can be fiddly to align correctly (I was just letting peeps know the full story)(some companies don't give advice!)

As for trimming, obviously the items are ' man made ' whilst the product has whats called a ' trim line ' sometimes a little finishing would still be required - nothing major! I think ADE covered this in his Minus project build diary.

Yeah, I was just lookin at Ades, to be honest though, I think the miglias are a littl too wide for my rims. I have seen some on Minispeed that stick out 105mm from the body work and that would be about right according to my dodgy measuring yesterday. I don't want it to look over arched and want the shoulder of the tyres to just stick out a little. That's why I thought about the Miglias, because I could trim them to stick out just the correct amount!

This is what they look like at the moment:

Our Miglia's are sent out to cover 8" wide rims, our group 7's fit perfectly with 13" x 7" superlights - just look at the pics on site!

We could do the group 7's in Carbon Fibre for you too!

Yeah, they sound ideal. I don't need them immediately, but I will have a ponder and let you know!

Hi,

Yes, please view the web site: www.customminis.co.uk

as for doors, we are being asked more and more for these lately, I've not seen the Minispeed ones, are they ' race ' doors or do they accept the wind-up mechanism?? can anyone enlighten me please??

We've briefly discussed it but feel the Mk3 doors would have to have sliding windows (only in perspex) as per Mk1 style.
