Men To Be Treated Equally With Insurance?

I can't drive yet. But I do ride a bike everywhere (most of you will hate me for this, i know) . I get to see all kinds of drivers from a different prospective...
Women - The whole 'spacial awareness' thing really is true! They are either really cautious when overtaking, or cut me up (As a women in a bini did at a roundabout the other day)
Van drivers - Though they're usually on their phone or speeding, they show consideration to me. I am probably they only person on here tat actually finds then 'OK'
Old people - They're the worst! They don't use mirrors, or give a s**t about anybody else. They don't seem to have a clue about what's really going on...
businessmen - All they care about is making money. Often on the phone and in a rush.
Corsa drivers - Do I really need to say anything?!
Of course I'm just being stereotypical, not all people are like this, but how I see it, men are usually the ones who are erratic, but women are not as good at driving.
I don't see why men are more likely to cause an accident...
Steve.

Insurance shouldent be a high a price for young drivers they have more than enougth experiance in the first week of driving.
Can you explain what you mean by this?
What i mean is after lessons and so on all the expreiance needed is gaind from the lessons and the first week of driving without an instructor. After that everything is commen sence crashes happen from people not thinking and being destracted or not having commmen sence, since commen sence is nolonger a commen thing.
Well that's certainly an interesting theory!! It's not really a widely held point of view I have to say and to be frank it's also both poorly founded and completely ridiculous, but it is an interesting point of view none the less!!

Now I do realise that this does make me a rather sad "anorak"

This particular study found that hazard perception reaction levels were actually higher amongst newly qualified drivers, than in those with a number of years experience. Yet all the statistical data available showed that the highest rate of collision occurs in the first 6 months of post licensed driving. Despite the longer reaction times, those drivers with a number of years driving experience in the study still outperformed the novice drivers in terms of the effectiveness of the actions that they took in reaction to hazards. This suggests that not only does years of driving experience significantly improve driving skills and abilities, it also compensates for the inevitable deterioration in reaction times that result and quite conceivably for the acquisition of bad habits as well.
Interestingly and with particular relevance to this thread, the same study revealed that male novice drivers had relatively longer reaction times, compared to both female novice drivers and male experienced drivers. I suppose this may go some way to explaining both the high collision statistics & high insurance premiums that we currently see for young inexperienced male drivers??
as you can see you understood it so thats all that matters. I cannot spell well but im better than most in other areas just the way i am. I struggell at maths and english, i read throught it but it looks like its right in my head as i read it.
I can't spell for toffee either, but thankfully in the modern world there is such a thing as a spellchecker, which you may find improves matters dramatically if you were to actually take the time to use it!

it's from the 21st December 2012 (so next December as opposed to this year)... and it was a ruling from The European Union High Court and therefore includes the UK.

Hay i use spell cheakers but this dosent work if the words that do not come up on the cheackers are un-noticed. Because this is how i belive they are spelt and its hard to notice them as they look correct as i read through my typeing/writeing time and time again.

People have started revealing their true opinions about the opposite sex in here.
No surprise, really.
i was saying things about both sides thankyou

but to be fair all i was saying was that both men and women are just as likely to have an accident so don't understand why we have to pay more
I vote for mixed sex changing rooms and toilets.
