thanksfor your advise ill get on it when i have some spare time. mini sports garage bent the drivers door for me while i went for a shop around:P so i just have to do the passenger door now. but another problem has arised the drivers door window now rubs against the inside door panel and at one point soon i think ill break my window winder its that tight :xmas: eny advise on this matter.

thanks again:D

If its tight how much did they bend the window frame?? If the window is touching the inside door panel i wonder if they have bent the panel trying to move things?? When i did ours it was only by a small amount and the window works well. Have a look at the rubbers in the window frame channel to see it they are damaged or perished.

Why the gap in the window frame?

If you have a look at the Project Erm link you will see how bad the door gaps were so by cutting the window frame and inserting a small piece the gaps have been reduced.
We are installing new rubber liners in the frame so that along with the shape of the window there should be no problems with sealing plus the gap filler was less than 1/4" so all in all things should be fine.

Suppose it's easier than shortening the shell.
