I wonder how long they have been testing it though in house? Surely it should be up to snuff if they are selling it. Maybe it's due to cost and unlike here you guys can get MPI's. Even though this is a slightly different idea. Granted you can get MPI's here, just illegally. I think this is a nice kit to update the a-series and keep it legal in the states. I guess I will have to pick a phone card and give them a ring to get the ball rolling.

there testing was about 6 months I think, it's just a standard Typhoon ecu (the same as used on the Khead, 7port, and any other engine you can think of)

I think it could be cost, shame really because you get a lot for your money really,

I'm tempted by this, but for the money it would have to be a big improvement over my Weber.

I originally wanted to go with the canems, but as far as I know (it was the case when I looked at it it's a case of making all the bits you need etc,

the SC is a bolt on kit, with everything you need there...

Does the TMF+ discounts still stand, if as below you get 15% discount off the kit it would be worth while joining and makes the kit that bit more appealing

We currently have the following discounts available within the TMF+ scheme:

KAD - 5% discount
Mini Magazine - 36% discount on a years subscription
Specialist Components - 15% discount

the big improvement over a weber is better fuel economy, better low and mid range torque, and better throttle response in the lower end of the rev range.

Any of you guys get the kit yet? I'm gonna get it for mine, I want to be the first to stick it on a automatic, but I have to wait until I get back in the uk before I can order it, looks like a nice kit and they are about 35 miles from where I live, not to far of a drive

I believe it uses a choke cable to run a fast idle. Give John or Simon a call at SC, they are nice people. They don't bite..... well mostly! We are just down the road from them and get on really well with them.
