Another one of the Americanisms, mainly visible in American TV series and films is the misuse of Bring instead of Take...
"We'll bring it to him...."
The word "Mail" instead of "Post"
On the stupid questions subject I got pulled for speeding the other day (I live in France) and i'll go through the conversation I had with the female cop.
Her: Do you know why i've stopped you? (holding the speed gun in her hand)
Me: I can guess
(Go through loads of hassle because i've got an English licence and she didn't know what to do)
Her: Do you have enough money to pay a fine?
Me: How much is enough?
I didn't have the money so i was told to fetch it and she said "Bring it to the station" errrrr Which one I asked...
Is everyone presumed psychic??
