Well here we go again!!! just when i think its save to let here out of her box she nearly kills me down the motorway. The engine just cut out doing seventy over taking a lorry with another behind down the A1 to grantham

Well we'll have to see they arent going to look at it today so im ahving to wait. Tho im getting a new engine hopefully by end of my and get it all ready for drag wars and the rolling road day but we will have to wait and see.

Na it didnt get soaked not really a drop in it well just till i opend the bonnet

Gutted mate, lets hope its something simple! For it to just cut out it sounds either electrical or fuel related, doesn't sound mechanical - usually it would go bang rather loudly if anything mechanical had broken.

Yeh we had back firing tho so many noises happened, but o well, and idle was dropping to below 800, weve changed dizzy etc and got it going before but not this time.

Miss-fire + rain + Mini = electrical in my opinion mate.

Well the miss fire has happened before today, and like ive said even having the scoop water has never been a issue in the engine bay but we'll see i guess.

Still doesnt sound too bad, i was with my mate yesterday and we got undertaken by some idiot in a red peugeot 106 doing about 100 at least, but the moment he got in front of us sparks and smoke came out of the exhaust lmao he totally wrecked his engine me and my mate couldnt stop laughing as we saw him crawling round the next roundabout at 5mph

Souns like typical SPI problems in there some where and thats all it will be

wheres the fuel cutoff switch?
i think it might be to do with fuel in the Vac pipes and a poor spark.
Its not been home since it happened, at Tanvic in town, so havent been able to look at it.
