Do 52 miles a day to uni and back, and then around town and to work and stuff.
Bomb proof 'touch wood'
The ONLY thing i dont like about using it every day is sometimes it gets neglected, because of time. Like i know my engine steady bracket neeeds replacing and the windscreen rubbers neeeeed changing and things but those jobs tend to get put off.

30 years of dailly driving classic Mini's (also had bigger 2nd family cars for some of those years) ......switched to a New MINI as a daily driver 4 years ago and love driving it for the same reasons as the classic. At least now my classic only comes out for summer weekends and does not require major restoration every 5 years or so..........

My '88 was my daily, however needing it 7 days a week led to abuse and its now in intensive care waiting for a considerable amount of money to reappear rust free.
Now drive a 307 hdi estate, with a paper bag over my head.

Mines used everyday for a 60 mile round trip to work.
I live in the Shetland islands now, and we get propper winters here.
It was driven constantly, on snow tyres, all winter, then down to Brighton and back over Christmas!

I've got an 89' Mini 30, which I drive everyday to work and back around 40 miles, then abit more in the evenings and weekend.
Broken down in it a few times, but mainly just little niggles that come with having an old car with 20 year old parts on it, points in dizzy shagged ect.
Apart from it's little faults, I love my little car.
