I have recently had the miss fortune in dealing with an individual that claims to be an 'A Series Specialist'. Due to over 15 issues (such as internal engine components second hand, bodged, missing, bolts missing, loose or threaded) with the work carried out on my car and his refusal to give me the part refund I have asked for, I now have no choice but to take him to court to recoup the money required to make good his negligent/incompetent work. As I have had to take it to this stage, I will now be posting all factual information on this and associated forums, so nobody else falls foul of his poor workmanship. This information should provide an interesting read as it will include copies of letters sent to and from the 'specialist' with comments. If anyone else has had issues with a certain 'A series specialists' in the south Staffordshire area I am always interested to know more. Thank you to those who have contacted me already. I'll be posting everything after the court proceedings.

Can we name the company so we know which 'A Series Specialist' you are talking about?

very subtle hubba, i was going to give him the benefit of the doubt after seeming to rebuild a few burnt bridges but i think i may as well use a local company now.

Nice hint! Hope you get it sorted fella.

Edit: I'd change the title of this thread as there is a great little company in Leicester called A-series spares. Who, I assume, are not the offending party.

a guy in our club had some issues with said company building him a mild spec'd 998 (nothing serious spec wise).
anyhoo the engine went kaput after 500miles.
but he got a part refund and a newly built engine too. (which hes now running in).

ive dealt with them and was very pleased, however i only used the rollers and had a tune etc.

I would if I were you. It's just not worth the risk.

It's disgusting what he has done. Shouldn't be working on cars.
