I actually have alot less national pride right now, a weddinig is when family and friends of the bride and groom get together and celebrate the love of the 2 getting married which undoubtedly has happened, but all the strangers that are there that dont even know them is just a load of rubbish, and all the tv coverage of the wedding is just a joke, I mean let the 2 get married in peice, a wedding day is nervous enough without having tv camaras all over you, I would have loved to have seen what would have happened if they had said they wanted a small doe.

Can't do that though, it's all about duty and serving the country. The Queen and her father before her have bought the royal family up to think of the country first and themselves second. After the abdication dedication to duty before self became all important to them.

I think we need to be honest, without being rude, you have a bit of a weak argument and claiming 'they arent even british' is a bit pathetic, a lot of this country isnt british anymore and it doesnt bother most people.

The fact that you are able to make such ignorant, uneducated and misinformed statements speaks absolute volumes! Even more so, than the fact that you are naive enough to believe that it is appropriate to come onto a public forum that celebrates a historic and iconic British car, on the biggest day of British national pride that this nation has seen in thirty years and refer to the event as a "Joke"!!

to say the royal family do nothing but sit on their asses all day is a aload of bs! they arent like singers nd stuff who publicise everything they do on the internet to get publicity, they have probably done more good than the actual government and the royal wedding is a part of history now, i didnt watch it cus i had too much work to do but much of the population its very important to them and in my opinion, she was crowned queen so she remains queen no matter what she sits on

So i'm guessing from your statement you don't actually know what they do for this country??

They act as ambassadors for this country whether its trade related or promoting our country. They also help to sell numerous products relating to the monarchy which generate income for themselves and also to the country. Their houses whether its Windsor castle, Sandringham and Buckingham Palace are all open to the public to help offset the running of these properties plus they provide jobs to the locals.

Yes the Queen and Charles are rich but their responsibilities are to the country and so they also pay tax on a lot of their income. Yes they are on the civil list but again they have had no increase in the amount of money they are given and in some cases a reduction. Some are feckless and irritating but the majority do good, take for example Princess Anne one of the hardest working Royals going.

I am not by any means a Monarchist but they do an awful lot of good for this country so although you are entitled to your own beliefs do not belittle people for what they are. I have no doubt you like to be treated fairly so do they.

Some of them have fought for this country like myself so they were prepared to put their lives on the line ie Prince Harry and even that Prince Andrew (who by the way i do not like as i do feel he is a bit of a free loader.)

Each to their own but back up your argument before making bold statements.
