See mine in a few of these :shifty:.

Really good weekend, made much better by the queing in the evening and openning the run pack tent early. What was the car that actually led the run? I see someone already asked but i couldnt see a good answer.

Was ment to be really special?

Many thanks, Nic

I understood the lead car was to be Edd China's sofa. I did not see it at CP and it's hard to believe it would have driven all the way down but it was there outside the LSMOC pavilion at Madeira Drive

Here are just 3 of my 145 pictures on the day.

For me this was the star of the show. This works mini was on the Mini Spares stand. They sponsored its participation in the 2011 Monte Carlo Historic Rally. In 1965 it won four rallies, two for Paddy Hopkirk including the Circuit of Ireland and two for Rauno Aaltonen. Owner Alistair Vines kindly talked about it to me.

Paddy Hopkirk taking it more easily now with Edd China driving.

I was delighted to have this magnificent specimen follow me out of Brighton. Mini Magazine’s Mini of the Year 2010.

I followed you & your clubby out of Madeira Drive & through town. Your car is gorgeous & the Basingstoke Ring Road sticker had me giggling for ages!!

I thought you'd lost your mates or summink because your little face kept powkin' out the window & lookin' behind you! :)

HAHA yea I had lost my mates lol. I didn't know if they had got out in front or behind me. I never did find them lol.

One of my fav clubby/gts

I especially liked the split rim specials and the gold slots on the GT too. (I think I have an alloy fetish!)

I absolutely loved that police van!! .... But it just made me wonder on where you stand on the legalities of the whole impersonating a police officer thing with it though?? I realise that it's obviously not a current police issue vehicle and that it wouldnt be easy to be a convincing bogus policeman in it without the addition of time machine, but does that mean that you can put a period blue light and police markings on any vehicle and drive it around so long as it's over a certain age? :)
