The trim on the side really does suit it. Nice  :proud:

Apologies in case you have answered before but what are the arches?

Love the colour and finish of the estate, touch of the green eyed monster.

All I have for TET is plastic ones and I have already welded up all the holes. Looked like a pin cushion covered in filler.

Don't fancy doing all that work and being disappointed with the arches.

Cheers guys, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel as far as the rebuild goes. Then it will be onto firing the engine for the first time and getting that set up.

The arches are bullet arches, I believe they were used on the German market Sportspack. I trimmed them down to fit my wheels better as they are pretty wide and attached studs to get rid of the visible mountings, the rear arches have also been extended so that they wrap around the rear valance.

Found a solution to fixing the side trims on. I'm using the plastic alternatives bresco sell and then I used a rubber mallet and very gently tapped the chrome trim to close the gap ever so slightly so that it grips better.

Sprayed the back side of the trim with a load of dynax ub to protect from rust.

Outstanding work. The styling is great, and the substance too!

I think this is quite possibly my favourite estate on the forum now! That trim has finished it off a treat!

Looks fantastic. Random question, When you fitted the carpet from Newton what did you use to stuck the bit of carpet over the centre cross member, I'm planning on doing mine this weekend, wasn't sure if I should glue down for just found it over and put the seat brackets on and just rely on those holding in in place,

It will need to be glued into place with a decent contact adhesive. Newton normally supply instructions on how best to fit their products.
