At the price of 14" Team Dynamics I've been considering getting some 13x7 superlights redrilled. It'll probably actually be cheaper in the long run and look much better

Had a pair of plain black Huntmasters in my 1275GT way back in '85. Mate also bought a pair of black/blue ones at the same time for his blue 1275GT. Never seen any since though.

Awesome!! :D Got any pictures mate?

Today I changed the front pads. Temporarily until I'm on the road, and then I'll be converting to vented discs... sold my discs on since mine are actually good condition and will last until the conversion.

The caliper carrier retaining bolt decided it didn't want to be a caliper carrier retaining bolt anymore on the right hand side and snapped with about 3 turns left in the carrier... very annoying since I'm gonna have to go scrappy hunting for a decent caliper now.

I soldiered on in the rain and finished the job off, will see if its possible at all to get the bolt out since a guy from Metropower is posting me one, but truthfully I dont think its going to be.

I've always loved Metros, and the 100's. I've got a Mini now but I've had 3 Metros and a 100 in the past. The 100 was more refined than the Metro, but still the same car at heart. It was a 1.1 Ascot; lovely and comfy, a hundred times quicker than the 1.3 Fiesta I drove before that, and a lovely Dairy Milk purple in colour.

Nice and nippy, kart-like steering and the unfortunate achilles heel - those bloody head gaskets...

That's awesome mate!! Do you have any pictures of your old Metros? I'd seriously love a purple one... been to look at two... really musn't buy one though. Hopefully the head gasket will last, bought an uprated one just incase, but it runs perfect at the mo, runs just in the middle of the temp gauge even on a long trip the other day, no probs.

Sorted my right front caliper from a Breakers today. Got one from a Rover 100 Kensington which was looking very sorry for itself  Still... many metros make 1.

Hopefully heading out to a decent breakers that has 10 Metros in during the week! Get some goodies I hope :(

Picked up my seatsies tonight and tested one of them by watching 3 hours of Mosport International Raceway in American Le Mans series. Super comfy and no back ache, thanks kennaird for the great deal, and always good to meet a fellow TMF'er. ;D

Gotta change your username mate, though Metro-Mad-Craig does sound a bit weird after all this time.

I still get freaked out when I see a metro rio on the road! but thats just a metro thing.....

Like the bits your buying for it though, but lets face it, its about time you got a car on the road! :P
